Project 1:Animation
Ok so its the start of the new semester and already we digital artist are hit with a project. And the topic is.... da da daaa
"Post Human!"
I wasn't too sure of the word post human so I looked it up on wiki and this is what they said about it,
"A post-human is, according to trans-humanist intellectuals; A hypothetical future being who's basic capacities so radically exceed those of present humans as to be no longer unambiguously human by our current standards."
I do question about it though, about this meaning of being "post human". Is it safe to say that it could be how humans are in the future? If that is the case, what if there were no advancements in technology and that human's at this day and age are not so different to that of human's in the future?
But by the juice of things, and by the presentation showed by Troy on thursday, "Post Human" seems definitely to relate to the advancement of technology and humans. Eg. Human androids, cyborgs.
Is it necessary to develop a narrative based on these types of "humanoids". Could it be possible to develop a narrative on the outcomes of humans in the future? Anyways I will post some ideas for a story next... so....... stay tuned ....

androids are good; but the other aspect to consider is how we may already be posthuman now... through contemporary technology such as email, mobile phones etc.
